I don't know if this is true in the PC, but with the Amiga PAR, it is
necessary to have the PAR software running in order to access its
disk. Another possibility: is it necessary (on the PC) to specify
the destination filename, or just the directory? If you do indeed
have the correct syntax, make sure that filename does not already
exist in the destination directory.
